The Whole World
I have no idea if this will work but it was kindof fun to see where I’ve been. I know that 2% is certainly not enough for me. I would like to see Australia, New Zealand, as much of Africa as I can get in for starters.

I know, two blogs in one day…unheard of!
I haven’t been tagged for this but I thought it was fun. So here are 6 strange things about me.
1. I file using rainbow colors — ROY G BIV specifically. T didn’t know this about me until about a year and half ago. I had managed to hide my color obsession for 14 years.
2. A treat I enjoy once in a while is icecream with popcorn on top — I love popcorn which falls in line with my family heritage. Wherever my Mother’s family is, there you will find popcorn.
3. I think the magic of arts and crafts is not how perfect you create but how creative you are with using your mistakes to an advantage.
4. The first time I went water skiing I was 6 weeks old and my mother was ready to kill my dad, yet, she let him take me out anyway. I rode on his shoulders as he skied. The picture looks terrifiying.
5. My first horse was an unbroken mule named Molly. I was 8 years old when we got her and it was typical for her to buck me off at least once per day. After a while, I got pretty good at keeping my balance on a bucking mule.
6. I don’t like cinnamon rolls. I don’t like the way they taste or smell. My hubby is appalled by this because cinnamon rolls are one of his favorite things in the world.
Personal hero: My mother, even though I called her a fearful Christian in my last blog, she is still my hero. She is tough and sweet all at the same time. She is a beautiful woman and I hope to gleen some of her great atributes by the time her age.
What’s always by her bed: Kleenex, a lamp and whatever current book or magazine I am reading.
Her retreat: I love to go to the ocean, doesn’t matter where in the world but I love it. Being near the ocean reminds me that this ole’ world and all that makes it up is bigger than me and yet God has it precisely in control.
Her greatest hits: My 2 children, leading a very awesome women’s bible study
Morning routine: This is something that has bugged me for quite a while. I am not disciplined enough to have a morning routine. If I were to create the “perfect” one it would be to get up at 5am, work out for 45-1hr. Shower, dress have a quiet time, fix a fantastic meal for my family, take my kids to school with a smile and a kiss.
Greatest strength as a writer: I’m pretty good at creating meaningful wordpictures.
Greatest weakness as writer: My grammer stinks
What’s always in the refrigerator: Milk, Brummel and Brown, and a huge assortment of condiments and sauces.
Favorite food: Right now I don’t have any favorites, I’m just trying to control my eating habits.
Collections: Tea pots, books, scrapbooking stuff, art supplies, fabric, anything crafty
Best travel memento: I have two. One is two beautiful blown glass drinking glasses from the Yucatan and a stainless steel ring from Hawaii.
What she’s always asked at parties: Did you make this?
Always with her: Abbie our Golden Retriever, my cell phone, keys and purse.
Favorite place in house: Sun room
Hobbies: Scrapbooking, painting drawing, geocaching, photography, reading
Obsession: Trying to figure out time management/homemanagement and thinking of new fun things to do with paper.
Best recent gift: I’m not telling
Fitness routine: Monday, Wednesday and Thursday walk with Jana. Now that I’m looking at this, I really need to add some more fitness to my routine huh?
Talent she covets: Organization skills like Trish
Greatest misconception about her life: That I am a good cook.
Movie she’s seen most: The Incredibles thanks to my children, I can almost quote it.
Book she’s read most: The Cheney Duval Series, Anne of Green Gables Series
Household chore she’s most fastidious about: yeah right!
Obsolete item she won’t part with: I’m not sure.
Travel routine: Scramble the night before we leave to get everything done.
Travel nightmare: Leaving one of my kids on a subway or elevator and never finding them again.
Superstition: Death happens in 3’s ~ I know it’s not really true
Procrastination technique: Always wait until the last minute to get something important done and depend on the powers that be to give me enough grace to extend my deadline until I finish. I am getting better though and would say that characterized me better a few years ago.
Biggest self-indulgence/guilty pleasure: Craft supplies
Gadget she can’t live without: Tweezers
Prized possession: My children, my scrapbook albums and my Bible
What she drives: A Honda Odessey. I love it and plan to have it for the next 10 years.
Next big purchase: Hopefully a ranch
Historical figure she’d like to meet: Jesus

Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2005? I am responsible for my decisions good or bad. No one else gets to take resposibility for what I do, good or bad. My God is great and full of grace and he is eternally patient with a very stubborn and scared me.
Quote a song lyric that sums up your year: This is what it feels like to be held….
